Ontario, CAN

Eigil was born in Denmark and emigrated to Canada when he was seven. Having always had an interest in his family history, he began actively researching it when the internet made it possible. When Eigil met Icelandic Roots volunteer Doreen Borgford McFarlane, he became interested in her Icelandic family history. He joined her on the Icelandic Roots volunteer trip in 2023 and subsequently decided to bring his knowledge and experience in genealogy research to the IR team as a volunteer himself.
