Travel to Iceland

As for traveling tips, it depends on YOU. Are you looking for a quiet place to think and enjoy nature? Do you want to enjoy amazing music and nightlife? Are you a horse lover or love to fish? Do you want to see whales or puffins or seals? Are you someone who enjoys hiking, biking, or extreme outdoor adventures?

Are you searching for family history and genealogy information? Maybe you want to do it all – – – well, go for it! Iceland is an amazing place and has something for everyone.

The very first thing you want to do is sign up for a membership to Icelandic Roots so you can see the emigration ports, farms, ships, churches, cemeteries, etc of your ancestors including GPS coordinates so you can drive right to the location or inform your guide about the location.

Here is a sample itinerary that you can use as a starting point. It shows you the many places that you might visit along with an idea of how much you can pack into a day. But you will want to change it to reflect what you want to get from your trip.
